How Duck Pond plays
- Set your bet.
- Tap to play. The result is decided the moment you play.
- The animation is the reveal. You win your bet times the multiplier shown.
The rule people miss: 0x means no win. Anything above 0x pays your bet times that number.
Duck Pond is a carnival hook-a-duck game played with virtual coins. A pond holds 32 rubber ducks, you hook three of them, and the prizes printed under the ducks are added together. If all three hooks catch the same prize the haul is tripled.
How a round works
- Set your bet and tap three ducks to place your hooks.
- Our servers shuffle the 32 ducks and look at the three you hooked.
- The pond is shown, each hooked duck is turned over and its prize is read out.
- The prizes are added. Three of the same paying prize multiply the sum by 3.
- Your bet is multiplied by the total and paid, or lost if all three ducks are plain.
The result is fixed the moment you play. The turning-over is the reveal, not a skill test. Because the pond is reshuffled every round, there is no "lucky corner" of the pond.
What is in the pond
| Duck | How many | Prize each |
|---|---|---|
| Plain | 20 | nothing |
| Bronze | 6 | 0.1x |
| Silver | 3 | 0.4x |
| Gold | 2 | 1.25x |
| Golden King | 1 | 6x |
The pond never changes: 32 ducks, always these counts. Any 3 of 32 can be hooked in 4,960 different ways and every way is equally likely, which is how the table below is built.
Odds and payouts
Grouping all 4,960 possible hauls by what they pay:
| Total paid | Chance |
|---|---|
| Nothing (three plain ducks) | 22.98% |
| 0.1x to 1x (you get some of the bet back) | 50.67% |
| Above 1x up to 2x | 16.25% |
| Above 2x up to 5x | 0.73% |
| Above 5x (the Golden King is in the haul) | 9.37% |
Any prize at all comes up 77.0% of the time, but only 26.4% of rounds pay more than the bet. The long-run return is 96.853%. The full list of 28 distinct hauls is on our odds page and in the game's info screen.
Worked example
Say you hook a Gold duck, a Bronze duck and a Plain duck. The haul is 1.25 + 0.1 + 0 = 1.35x, so a bet of 200 coins pays 270 coins. That exact combination can be formed 2 x 6 x 20 = 240 ways out of 4,960, so it shows up in 4.84% of rounds.
Compare three Bronze ducks: they are a matching set, so the sum 0.3x is tripled to 0.9x. That needs 20 of the 4,960 hauls (0.40%) and still pays slightly less than the bet. A set only pays well when it is Silver (3.6x) because there are only three Silver ducks and exactly one way to hook all of them.
Max win and limits
The biggest haul is the Golden King plus the two Gold ducks: 6 + 1.25 + 1.25 = 8.5x, which appears in 1 of 4,960 rounds. The King shows up in any haul 9.375% of the time (3 hooks out of 32 ducks), but the matching-set bonus can never apply to it because there is only one. The game-wide limits (50,000x the bet and 250,000,000 coins per round) are far above what Duck Pond can reach.
What matters and what does not
- Which ducks you tap: does not matter. The shuffle happens after you choose.
- Bet size: changes how many coins a haul pays, not the odds.
- Volatility: low. With a top prize of 8.5x and over half of the rounds returning something small, results move gently compared with the cash-out games.
There is no technique that changes the 96.85% return. If you enjoy the guessing, treat it as a pick-a-card game where the cards were already dealt.
Where it sits
Duck Pond is one of the quick "tap and see" games in the Slots and instant wins section: no cash-out decision, one result per round. Keno fans may like Lightning, which has a similar pick-your-spots feel on a night skyline, and Lucky Cookie for another gentle, frequent-small-win game. Play with limits
Coins in Cashout Arcade are virtual, have no cash value, and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for prizes. The game is for adults (18+) and for entertainment. Set a time limit before you start; see playing safely in Cashout Arcade.
Frequently asked questions
Does it matter which ducks I hook?
No. The pond is shuffled on our servers for every round, so any three hooks are equally likely to land on any three ducks. The positions on screen only decide where the hooks go.
What is the best possible haul?
The Golden King plus both Gold ducks, which pays 8.5x the bet. All three hooks on the same prize multiply the haul by 3, and three Silver ducks pay 3.6x.
Can I lose my whole bet?
Yes. About 23% of rounds hook three plain ducks and pay nothing. Coins are virtual and have no cash value.
