How Lucky Cookie plays

  1. Set your bet.
  2. Tap to play. The result is decided the moment you play.
  3. The animation is the reveal. You win your bet times the multiplier shown.

The rule people miss: 0x means no win. Anything above 0x pays your bet times that number.

Lucky Cookie is a quiet instant game. You crack a fortune cookie, read the slip inside, and the luck level on the slip decides your payout. It is the softest game in the lobby: the single most common result returns half your bet, and the biggest slip is 25x. There are no decisions to make, only a bet to choose.

How a round works

  1. Set your bet and tap the cookie.
  2. A slip is drawn from a fixed table of eight luck levels, from Crumbs (0x) up to Jackpot fortune (25x).
  3. About 5 cookies in 100 are twin cookies. A twin holds two slips, each drawn from the same table, and both pay.
  4. Your bet is multiplied by the total shown on the slip or slips and paid.

The message printed on a slip is a cosmetic fortune. Two slips with the same luck level can carry different messages.

The slips

Great luck2.56%4x

The chances apply to each slip. Hit rate is 78.0%, which means 22% of cookies pay nothing, and 22.8% of cookies pay more than the bet. The return is 96.998%.

Worked example

A single slip reads Good luck: 1.5x, so a bet of 100 coins returns 150. That slip comes up on 11.5% of slips.

A twin cookie with Good luck and Even luck pays 1.5 + 1.0 = 2.5x. A twin with Crumbs and Half luck pays 0.5x. Twin cookies lift the average quietly rather than create big single wins: since 5% of cookies have two slips, the expected value of a cookie is 1.05 times a single slip's. The two-Jackpot twin (50x) has a chance of about 5% x (0.19%)^2, which is roughly 1 in 5.4 million.

Out of 1,000 slips you can expect around 228 Crumbs, 332 Half luck (50 coins back on a 100-coin bet) and 230 Even luck, so about 79% of slips are worth 1x or less. The remaining fifth carries the wins.

Max win and limits

The top is two Jackpot fortunes in a twin cookie: 50x the bet. A single Jackpot fortune (25x) shows up in about 1 slip in 520. The game-wide limits (50,000x the bet and 250,000,000 coins per round) are nowhere near. Volatility is medium by the game's top prize, and in practice mild.

What matters and what does not

  • How you crack it: nothing. The slip is fixed before the animation starts.
  • The wording of the fortune: a joke, not a hint. It never predicts your next cookie.
  • Bet size: changes only how many coins a slip is worth.

Because the return is spread across many small results, a session of Lucky Cookie usually moves in small steps. Over a long run the figure approaches 97%; in a short one anything can happen, as volatility explained shows.

How it differs from other instant games

Capsule Toy has a lower floor (0.2x), a higher ceiling (400x) and golden capsules instead of twin cookies. Dragon Egg has a 39% dud rate and a doubling ladder. Lucky Cookie is the steady option in the Slots and instant wins section.

Play with limits

Coins are virtual, have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for prizes. For adults (18+), for entertainment. Set a time limit before you play; see playing safely in Cashout Arcade.

Frequently asked questions

Does the message on the slip mean anything?

No. The message is only for fun. What counts is the luck level printed on the slip, which sets the multiplier from 0x (Crumbs) to 25x (Jackpot fortune).

What is a twin cookie?

About 5 cookies in 100 hold two slips. Both are read and their pays are added together, so two Jackpot fortunes would pay 50x, the biggest possible result.

How often do I get nothing?

Roughly 22% of cookies pay 0x (Crumbs, or two Crumbs in a twin). Another third return half your bet.
