RTP (return to player)
RTP is the share of all coins wagered on a game that it pays back over a very long time. Cashout Arcade games return 97%, a 3% house edge.
On this page
RTP, short for return to player, is the percentage of all the coins wagered on a game that it pays back over a very long run of rounds. A 97% RTP means that for every 100 coins played, the game pays back 97 on average and keeps 3.
The part that is kept is the house edge. RTP and house edge always add up to 100%, so 97% RTP is a 3% house edge.
What RTP does not tell you
RTP is a long-run average, not a promise about your session. In a handful of rounds you can be far above or far below it. Games with a high top win swing more from round to round than games with a low top win, even when their RTP is identical.
RTP in Cashout Arcade
Most games return 97%. Games with a fixed prize table can return a little less, and skill games such as Blackjack assume the best play. Each game's exact figure is shown on its page, for example Mines: how to play, odds and RTP, and every number is published on the Odds page.
Coins are virtual and have no cash value, so RTP describes how the games are balanced, not how much you could earn.
