Editorial policy

How the Cashout Arcade team researches, checks and corrects what it publishes, where our game figures come from and how to report a mistake.

On this page

Cashout Arcade is a free-to-play social casino and arcade app for iPhone. This site explains how the games work, what the odds mean and how to keep play fun. It is written by the Cashout Arcade editorial team, the people who make the app.

Where our numbers come from

Return to player, house edge, biggest win and rules for each game are read directly from the game engines that run the app. A script produces the figures that appear on game pages, so they are not retyped by hand and they match the published odds. When a game changes, the pages are regenerated.

What we publish

  • Guides and glossary entries that explain how games and odds work, using real examples.
  • Game pages with the rules and numbers for each game.
  • Responsible play information and help lines.

Standards

  • Honest. We do not promise wins, systems or strategies that beat the house edge. They do not exist.
  • Verifiable. Claims about odds come from the game engines; claims about help services come from the services' own pages, with the date we checked.
  • Original. Pages are written for readers, not for search engines. We do not publish thin or duplicate pages.
  • Clear about money. Coins have no cash value, and we say so.
