How Deep Dive plays

  1. Set your bet.
  2. A multiplier climbs while the round runs.
  3. Tap Cash out to lock in the multiplier shown.

The rule people miss: If the round ends before you cash out, you lose the bet.

Deep Dive is a cash-out game where you sink through the ocean. Between treasure chests the pay climbs in small, safe-feeling steps; at each chest it jumps, and a third of the time the dive ends there. You decide when to surface by tapping Cash out (locking in the multiplier you hold).

How a round works

  1. Set your bet and start the dive. Depth and the multiplier rise together.
  2. Down to 200 m a step happens every 5 m, each multiplying the pay by 1.02. From 200 m to 500 m a step is every 10 m and multiplies by 1.04.
  3. Every 50 m (50, 100, 150, up to 500) there is a treasure chest. It multiplies the take by 1.2 (silver), 1.5 (gold) or 3 (pirate hoard), or the dive is lost at the chest.
  4. Tap Cash out at any time after the first step to surface with the pay you have reached.
  5. A lost dive costs the bet. Every outcome is fixed on our servers when the round starts.

The first step comes about 1.1 seconds in; the last depth, 500 m, is reached after roughly 49 seconds.

What a chest does

ChestChance (one chest)Pays
Silver chest: take x1.240.15%1.2x
Gold chest: take x1.520.07%1.5x
Pirate hoard: take x36.69%3x
Lost at the chest33.09%0x

These are the chances for a single chest, counted from the moment you reach it. Together the three chest results add up to 66.9%, so a chest ends the dive about 33.1% of the time. Between chests the dive holds about 98% per 5 m step and 96% per 10 m step.

Worked example

Bet 100 coins and dive to the first chest at 50 m. Ten 5 m steps give a base pay of 1.22x. If the chest is silver, the pay becomes 1.22 x 1.2 = 1.464x, so surfacing there returns 146 coins. A gold chest makes it 1.83x, and a pirate hoard 3.66x.

To feel the risk, compare with surfacing one step earlier, at 45 m, where the pay is about 1.2x. The next step to the chest is where nearly all the danger sits: the chance of the dive getting past a chest is 66.9%, while an ordinary 5 m step is passed 98% of the time. On average the chest pays you back for that with a 1.47 average multiplier (0.6 x 1.2 + 0.3 x 1.5 + 0.1 x 3), which is why surfacing on either side of a chest returns the same 97% on average.

Max win and limits

The dive can compound far past the normal payout cap. Ten pirate hoards and all 70 steps would multiply to several hundred thousand times the bet, so the game-wide limit applies: no round pays more than 50,000x the bet or 250,000,000 coins. The chance of getting anywhere close is very small, which makes Deep Dive one of the highest-volatility cash-out games.

What matters and what does not

  • Surfacing before a chest or after: the average return is the same. Surfacing just after a chest locks in the multiplier you just won; surfacing before it avoids the one-in-three risk.
  • Which chest tier you hope for: you cannot influence it. Tiers are drawn at the start and revealed when you reach the chest.
  • The depth number: just a display of where you are on the same clock as the multiplier.

Because every point of the dive is priced for 97%, there is no "right" depth. To see how that works for any multiplier game, read how crash-style games work.

How it differs from other cash-out games

Skyscraper has a gust floor every fifth floor and no hidden rewards; Deep Dive's chests have three tiers, so two dives that reach the same depth can pay different amounts. Both are timed ladders that share the idea of Crash but with steps instead of a smooth curve.

Play with limits

Coins are virtual, have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for prizes. For adults (18+), for entertainment. Set a time limit before playing; see playing safely in Cashout Arcade.

Frequently asked questions

What is a treasure chest in Deep Dive?

Every 50 m the dive reaches a chest that multiplies your take by 1.2 (silver, 60%), 1.5 (gold, 30%) or 3 (pirate hoard, 10%). The chest is also the biggest single risk: about a third of dives end there.

How deep can I go?

500 m. There are ten chests on the way, and the dive keeps paying more with each 5 m step down to 200 m and each 10 m step after that.

Can Deep Dive reach the 50,000x limit?

Yes. Ten good chests in a row compound beyond it, and the game stops there. It is very rare.
