Social Casino Spending: How In-App Purchases Work
What you buy in a free casino app, how VIP tiers and offers work, what Apple requires on odds, how refunds work, and how Cashout Arcade handles spending.
On this page
In a free casino app you are buying virtual coins, a subscription or cosmetic extras, never anything that can be cashed out. Cashout Arcade sells coin packs from $1.99 to $99.99, a Club Pass subscription and one-time themes, all billed by Apple with the price shown before you pay. This guide explains what each purchase is, how the design around spending works and how to keep it in check.
What you buy
| Purchase | What it is | Price in Cashout Arcade |
|---|---|---|
| Coin packs | Virtual coins added to your balance | $1.99 to $99.99 (six sizes) |
| Starter, flash and bundle deals | Coins at a set price, limited by time or by quantity | From $0.99 |
| Piggy Bank | Coins that accumulate while you play, released by a purchase | $4.99 |
| Club Pass | Auto-renewing subscription with extra bonuses | $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year |
| Themes and skin packs | One-time cosmetic looks that stay on your account | $0.99 to $14.99 (skin packs $0.99, single themes $2.99 to $3.99, all-in-one bundles $14.99) |
Prices can vary by region. Coins are used up in play; a theme stays on your account. Our Terms of Use state that coins are a limited licence to use something in the game, not property you own, and that they have no value outside the app.
VIP tiers and why they exist
Loyalty ladders reward play and spending with bigger bonuses. Cashout Arcade's ladder has seven tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Obsidian and Highroller. Higher tiers raise bonus multipliers, rakeback (a small return of play as coins), and the bet limit. A VIP programme makes spending feel like progress. It is worth knowing that, because a feeling of status can lead to spending more than you planned. Tier perks multiply the coins from free rewards, not the odds of a game's result.
Offers and urgency prompts
Limited-time offers, timers and "last chance" language are common in free-to-play apps because they work. Questions to ask when you see one:
- Would I buy this if there were no countdown?
- Is this offer the same price I would have paid yesterday?
- Do I have a limit set, and does this purchase fit within it?
In Cashout Arcade the Shop does not claim that a deal is better value than the standard coin packs; offers are shown with a clean price and any quantity limit.
Apple's odds-disclosure rule
Apple's App Review Guidelines (3.1.1) require apps that sell "loot boxes" or other mechanisms that provide randomised virtual items to disclose the odds of receiving each type of item before purchase. Cashout Arcade's paid items are fixed: purchased coins and Club Pass never buy a random item, and the odds of the free random rewards (Lucky Pick, Gift Wall, luck perks) are published on the Odds page and in Settings under Game odds.
Refunds
Purchases are billed by Apple. To request a refund you sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, choose "I'd like to" and then "Request a refund", pick a reason and the item, and submit. Apple says to allow 24 to 48 hours for an update. Refunds are Apple's decision, not ours, and our terms say purchases are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's policies. If coins did not arrive after a purchase, wait a minute, reopen the app and email support with the Apple receipt; see Support.
Deleting your account forfeits any remaining coins and does not cancel a subscription. Cancel Club Pass first, in your iPhone's Settings under your name and Subscriptions.
How to keep spending in check
- Set a monthly limit in the app. Options run from $25 to $500; purchases above it are blocked.
- Set a limit on the phone. Screen Time can block in-app purchases altogether: How to Set App Spending Limits on iPhone.
- Look at your history. Apple's receipts and your Apple account show every charge.
- Never buy coins to win back coins. The game's odds do not change with how much you have spent.
- Use a break. A 24-hour, 7-day or 30-day break stops betting and is enforced on our servers.
If spending is worrying you, the Responsible play hub lists confidential help.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a refund for coins I bought?
Refunds go through Apple, not us, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Under our terms purchases are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's policies, and refunds are not guaranteed.
Do I ever need to buy coins to keep playing?
No. A free Lucky Pick every 15 minutes, the daily Gift Wall, the login calendar and a low-balance refill give free coins, though free coins are limited and buying is optional.
