How Slots plays
- Pick a risk level.
- Spin the reels.
- Matching symbols on the line pay the multiplier shown in the pay table.
The rule people miss: Cherries pay anywhere on the line. Only one line pays per spin.
Low risk: three sevens 182.29x (0.0125%), three diamonds 45.57x (0.1%), three bars 22.78x (0.173%), three bells 13.67x (0.583%), three lemons 7.29x (1.56%), three cherries 4.55x (2.7%), two cherries anywhere 1.82x (18.9%), one cherry anywhere 0.45x (44.1%).
Medium risk: three sevens 651.30x (0.0064%), three diamonds 104.20x (0.0512%), three bars 39.07x (0.173%), three bells 15.63x (0.583%), three lemons 7.81x (1.76%), three cherries 5.21x (3.28%), two cherries anywhere 1.95x (20.89%).
High risk: three sevens 2964x (0.0027%), three diamonds 222.30x (0.0216%), three bars 59.28x (0.133%), three bells 14.82x (0.583%), three lemons 7.41x (2.2%), three cherries 4.44x (3.93%), two cherries anywhere 1.48x (22.89%).
Cherries pay anywhere on the line. Three cherries pay the three-of-a-kind line, not the two-cherry line. Only one line pays per spin.
Slots is a classic three-reel, single-line slot machine. Pick a risk level, spin, and the symbols on the line decide your payout. Matching sevens, diamonds, bars, bells, lemons or cherries pay a multiplier, and cherries pay even when they do not match.
Coins are virtual and have no cash value. Where the reels stop is drawn on our servers when you tap; the spin is the reveal.
How a round works
- Pick a risk level: Low, Medium or High.
- Spin. Each reel draws a symbol independently.
- Three of a kind pays the multiplier for that symbol. Cherries also pay for two (and at Low risk for one) anywhere on the line.
- Only one line pays per spin. Three cherries pay the three-of-a-kind line, not the two-cherry line.
The reels: how often each symbol appears
Every reel uses the same weighted strip. Each number below is a percentage chance of that symbol appearing on any one reel.
| Symbol | Low | Medium | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cherry | 30% | 32% | 34% |
| Lemon | 25% | 26% | 28% |
| Bell | 18% | 18% | 18% |
| Bar | 12% | 12% | 11% |
| Diamond | 10% | 8% | 6% |
| Seven | 5% | 4% | 3% |
Moving from Low to High makes cherries and lemons more common and sevens and diamonds rarer, while the pay for rare symbols grows by more than the chance falls.
Pay tables
The multiplier is paid on your bet for a three-of-a-kind. "Chance" is the probability that all three reels show it on a spin.
| Result | Low pays | Low chance | Medium pays | Medium chance | High pays | High chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Three sevens | 182.29x | 0.0125% | 651.30x | 0.0064% | 2,964x | 0.0027% |
| Three diamonds | 45.57x | 0.1% | 104.20x | 0.0512% | 222.30x | 0.0216% |
| Three bars | 22.78x | 0.173% | 39.07x | 0.173% | 59.28x | 0.133% |
| Three bells | 13.67x | 0.583% | 15.63x | 0.583% | 14.82x | 0.583% |
| Three lemons | 7.29x | 1.56% | 7.81x | 1.76% | 7.41x | 2.2% |
| Three cherries | 4.55x | 2.7% | 5.21x | 3.28% | 4.44x | 3.93% |
| Two cherries anywhere | 1.82x | 18.9% | 1.95x | 20.89% | 1.48x | 22.89% |
| One cherry anywhere | 0.45x | 44.1% | no pay | no pay |
Chances for two and one cherry mean exactly that number of cherries on the line. The shared limits that apply to every game are on the odds page.
Notice the single cherry at Low risk
At Low risk, one cherry anywhere pays 0.45x. The game counts and animates it as a win, but you get back less than half your bet. Low risk's total chance of any win is 68.1%, and only 24.0% of spins pay at least your bet back. At Medium and High risk a single cherry pays nothing, so the chance of any win is 26.7% and 29.8%, and each of those wins is at least 1.48x.
A worked example
You spin Medium risk with a 100-coin bet. The chance that all three reels show bars is 0.12 x 0.12 x 0.12 = 0.1728%, about 1 spin in 579, and it pays 39.07x, or 3,907 coins. Three sevens would pay 651.30x (65,130 coins) but needs 0.04 x 0.04 x 0.04 = 0.0064%, about 1 spin in 15,625. A cherry pair, much more common at 20.89%, returns 195 coins. Weigh each pay by its chance, add them and you get 97 coins back per 100 on average. Roughly 60 of those 97 coins come from the cherry rows, which pay often and little, rather than from sevens.
Max win and caps
The biggest Slots payout is 2,964x the bet, for three sevens at High risk, a 1-in-37,037 spin. That is under the game-wide limits of 50,000x and 250,000,000 coins per round.
What is the same as other slots
Slots uses the weights and base pay table of Scratch: How It Works, Odds and Payouts, which draws nine cells instead of three reels. Sun Temple: how it plays, odds and payouts is the full video-slot experience, with five reels, three lines, a wild, a bonus round and jackpots, so it is very different from this one-line machine. How Slot Machines Work: Reels, RNGs and Payouts explains the maths of reels and paytables, and Wheel: How It Works, Odds and Payouts has the same Low, Medium and High language.
Tips that hold up
- There is no hot or cold reel. The reels are random draws with no memory.
- The risk level is your style choice. Low pays small amounts often, High pays big amounts rarely. All return 97%.
- Do not count a 0.45x cherry as a win. Look at the multiplier, not the animation.
- Sevens are not "due". Three sevens are as likely on the next spin as on any other.
Play with limits
Fast spins make it easy to lose track of how much you have staked. Set a limit before you start and see Play Safely in Cashout Arcade: Limits and Breaks for tools to enforce it. Cashout Arcade is for adults aged 18+, uses virtual coins and has no real-money prizes.
Frequently asked questions
Is the reel order or timing important?
No. All three reels stop on a result that is drawn on our servers when you tap. Each reel is independent and uses the same symbol weights.
What do the risk levels change?
The weight of each symbol on the reels and the pay table. Low risk pays small amounts often; High risk pays very little for most wins but 2,964x for three sevens.
Do two cherries really pay?
Yes. Cherries pay anywhere on the line: two pay 1.82x at Low, 1.95x at Medium and 1.48x at High. At Low risk a single cherry pays 0.45x, which is less than your bet.
Can I win real money?
No. Coins are virtual and have no cash value.
