How Light Stack plays
- Set your bet and start.
- Row 5 is the minor prize line, row 9 the major.
- When you press Stop never changes the result: every row is decided on our servers.
The rule people miss: The full pay table is in the Odds sheet in this game’s settings.
Row 5 is the minor prize line, row 9 the major. Cash out between rows.
When you press Stop never changes the result: every row is decided on our servers.
Light Stack is an arcade-cabinet ladder. A row of lights slides back and forth, you press Stop, and the row either locks onto the stack or drops off. Nine rows, two prize lines (a minor prize on row 5 and a major prize on row 9) and four modes make a clean, quick game. The key thing to know is that the stopping is theatre: the result of each row is fixed on our servers before you press anything.
How a round works
- Pick a mode: Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert. Set your bet and start.
- Press Stop for each row. The row locks and the pay rises, or it misses and the round ends.
- Tap Cash out between rows to keep your pay. Row 5 pays the minor prize and row 9 the major prize.
- A missed row loses the bet.
The prize lines
| Mode | Minor prize (row 5) | Major prize (row 9) | Rows 1 to 5 each hold | Rows 6 to 9 each hold |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 1.5x | 20x | 91.7% | 52.3% |
| Medium | 2x | 50x | 86.5% | 44.7% |
| Hard | 3x | 150x | 79.8% | 37.6% |
| Expert | 5x | 500x | 72.0% | 31.6% |
The game is built backwards from the prizes. The five early rows share one hold chance, tuned so the minor prize lands on a round number, and the four late rows share a lower one, tuned so the major prize is a round number as well. That is why the late rows are so much harder.
Pay by row
Each cell shows the chance of locking that row (counted from the start) and the pay at that row.

Worked example: Expert
Cashing out at the minor prize on row 5 pays 5x, which happens in 19.4% of rounds. A bet of 100 coins returns 500 coins. Going on from there, each of the next four rows holds only 31.6% of the time: row 6 pays 15.81x, row 7 50x, row 8 158.11x and row 9 500x. Reaching the major prize from the minor takes four rows in a row at 31.6%, so about 1 attempt in 100 succeeds, and the pay multiplies by exactly 100.
That is the whole shape of the game: a calm first half where each row nearly breaks even on its own, then a cliff. Every stopping row returns 97% on average, so nothing about the cliff is a trap or a bargain.
Max win and limits
The largest result is the major prize on Expert at 500x the bet, 1 round in about 515. Easy tops out at 20x, Medium at 50x and Hard at 150x. All are far below the game-wide limits of 50,000x the bet and 250,000,000 coins per round. Volatility is high on Hard and Expert.
What matters and what does not
- Stop timing: nothing. The server has already decided every row.
- Mode: sets how steep the second half is. All four return 97%.
- Bet size: scales the coin amounts only.
The same is true of most ladder games: your only lever is where you stop. How ladder and tower games work walks through the maths.
How it differs from other cash-out games
Tower has the same nine rows and the same four mode names, but every floor there carries the same risk. Light Stack deliberately splits the risk into an easy half and a hard half, with a minor and major prize as milestones. Frozen Lake raises the risk gradually row by row instead.
Play with limits
Coins are virtual, have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for prizes. For adults (18+), for entertainment. Set a time limit before you play; see playing safely in Cashout Arcade.
Frequently asked questions
Does pressing Stop at the right moment matter?
No. Every row is decided on our servers when the round starts. Where the light stops on screen is an animation of that answer, so tapping early or late does not change anything.
What are the minor and major prize lines?
Row 5 is the minor prize and row 9 the major. They pay 1.5x and 20x on Easy, 2x and 50x on Medium, 3x and 150x on Hard and 5x and 500x on Expert.
Can I cash out between rows?
Yes. Tap Cash out after any locked row to keep its pay. A missed row loses the bet.
