How Tailgate Toss plays

  1. Set your bet and tap TOSS.
  2. Four bags fly at the board: in the hole scores 3, on the board 1, off 0.
  3. Your total of the four bags sets the pay: 4 gets some back, 5 and up wins.
  4. Four in the hole is a four-bagger and pays 300.00x.

The rule people miss: All four bags are decided when you tap TOSS. Flicking is just for show.

Tailgate Toss is a cornhole game. Four bags are thrown at a board with a hole, and the total of the four sets the payout. It is an instant game: one tap, one result. Coins are virtual and have no cash value.

How a round works

  1. Set your bet and tap Toss.
  2. Four bags fly at the board. Each one lands in the hole, on the board or off it.
  3. A bag in the hole scores 3, on the board scores 1 and off scores 0. The four scores are added.
  4. The total is read off the pay plank. Totals of 4 or more pay; totals of 0 to 3 pay nothing.

Each bag has the same chance every time: 15% hole, 45% board, 40% off. The bags are independent, and all four are decided on our servers when you tap Toss.

A total of 4 returns part of the bet, so the round pays something 48.06% of the time. It returns more than the bet 31.0% of the time (totals 5 and up). The game returns 96.984% over time, slightly under the 97% of most games here.

Worked example

You bet 100 coins and throw one in the hole, two on the board and one off: 3 + 1 + 1 + 0 = 5. A total of 5 pays 1.3x, so you collect 130 coins. Two in the hole and two off is a total of 6, for 180 coins.

Max win and limits

The top result is a four-bagger: 300x the bet, about a 1 in 1,975 chance. The game-wide limits (50,000x the bet, 250,000,000 coins per round) cannot be reached. Volatility is high, because most of the money sits in the rare high totals.

What matters and what does not

  • Nothing you do after the bet: the result is fixed when you tap Toss. The flick, the timing and the camp chairs are for show.
  • Bet size: scales payouts, not odds.
  • Earlier rounds: each round is a fresh draw.

Frequently asked questions

Does my flick change where the bags land?

No. All four bags are decided on our servers when you tap Toss. The flick is for show.

Why is the return 96.984% and not 97%?

The pay table uses round multipliers, and with the exact chances for each total the average comes to 96.984%. That is what the game really returns over time.

Is 11 a possible total?

No. A bag scores 3, 1 or 0, so four bags can make 10 or 12 but never 11.

What does a four-bagger pay?

300x the bet, for four bags in the hole. It happens about once in 1,975 rounds.
